About the Film

Family Home Evening (FHE) is a mocumentary about a fictional group of friends all in a family home evening "family" together. It follows their misadventure and shenanigans on what seems to be a regular Monday night.

Together, this ragtag group of friends takes on the mighty challenge of surviving Family Home Evening.

Written and filmed in the vein of Parks and Recreation and The Office, FHE exploits many of the stereotypes that are ever-so-prevalent here, at BYU Idaho.

The idea for Family Home Evening started in a car as a playoff of many jokes about the social awkwardness and crazy people that come together to form a college FHE family. Ideas for the film started tumbling out and Gabe McFadden, Austin Allan, Daniel Thompson, and McKenzie Meyer captured those ideas and created this film.
